Dear Padel players around Ireland,

As this unusual year draws to a close, I am sure we all can’t help but reflect on how every aspect of our lives has been impacted and how we all struggle to maintain some sense of normality.

First, I would like to send my thoughts and regards to everyone who has been affected by this virus, and express in return gratitude to all front line workers for their hard work. Thank you for your compassion, dedication and courage.

Wishing our Padel players, of all ages, the very best amid these immense difficulties and many thanks to all of our terrific partners for their continuous support.

The Padel community has done us all proud. Our projects have continued to move forward despite the numerous and considerable challenges.

Huge thanks to our Padel Federation team for your professionalism, resilience and positive attitude. Without the resourcefulness, creativity and work ethics you showed, it would have not been possible to carry on in such insurmountable challenges. Thank you, in particular, to the coaches for their commitment in keeping the children's lessons going despite the ongoing difficulties.

Finally, in what has been a difficult year for so many, the Padel Federation of Ireland (PFI) is thankful for all of you who have continued to keep our organisation active, vibrant and vigorous.

Thank you to the International (FIP) and European (FEPA) Federations for your continued support to help the growth of Padel in Ireland.

The New Year will bring new padel projects and facilities both in Dublin and countrywide. This will be the year of expansion and we hope to get to many places where there are padel players but not padel courts as yet. We count on your support!

Wishing you all a very safe 2021, and may the New Year bring good health, happiness and prosperity.

Yours in sport,

Naomi Nicholl
President of the Padel Federation of Ireland

Dear Club members, visitors and friends,

Following a communication this morning from Sport Ireland, we now must unfortunately inform all members about the suspension of all bookings and activities (including all junior coaching programmes) with immediate effect and until further notice.

The Department of Sport Expert Group is meeting this morning to finalise Level 5 protocols for sporting organisations and once these protocols have been issued, we will communicate further with Club member and visitors.

We understand the difficulties and disappointment that this instruction will pose for players, coaches, club volunteers and staff but the challenge caused by COVID-9 impacts across all sectors of society and sport and we need a nationwide effort to fight it. We at Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club will work closely with the Dublin City Council and Sport Ireland to reopen our Club as soon as possible, even on a restricted basis, in as safe a manner as possible.

The Club would like to thank the staff and coaches at Bushy Park for the work that has been done over the last number of months in providing much needed exercise and safe, socially distant enjoyment to communities across Ireland.

We will keep you posted both through our website and through our social media platforms.

MESSAGE FROM THE PADEL FEDERATION OF IRELAND TO ALL CLUBS AND PADEL PLAYERS

Dear padelers,

It is with regret we have to inform you that the Padel Federation of Ireland committee members have decided to cancel the All Ireland tournament due to take place on the 1oth and 11th October.

The various Covid-19 measures introduced by the Government for the Dublin area have made the tournament non viable at this time. We look forward to organising the All Ireland Championship in the Spring of 2021 and begin our Irish Padel Tour with a major tournament. Then we will close the tour with the All Ireland 2021 in September next year, as we usually do.

We hope all players and enthusiasts will understand our decision and join us in future tournaments.

Yours in sport! Stay safe!

SLÁN GO FÓILL !

Event has been cancelled.

19/09/2020

Dear Club members, friends and visitors,

As the number of coronavirus cases in Dublin continues to rise, the National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) has recommended Dublin be raised to Level 3 Risk of the Government's five level plan following considerations the new Covid-19 oversight group.

Therefore, due to Risk Level 3 in Dublin, the Club will impose the use of face masks within Club grounds as mandatory. This means that the only moment when masks can be off is during play time on tennis, padel or basketball courts.

Toilets will remain closed to the public.

We encourage members and visitors to be sensible to these new measures and wear a face mask and keep social dictancing as a priority. Please continue washing hands regularly and using hand sanitisers available at the Cliub.

For coaching enquiries and how schedule is affected, please speak to coaches and staff .

Best regards to all and stay safe!
