1. Who are we?
THE BUHSY PARK TENNIS & PADEL CLUB is a non-profit organisation set up to spread and publicise the games of padel and tennis in Ireland. Our Headquarters are located in the Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club, Rathdown Road, Terenure, Dublin 6W.

This Privacy Notice explains how we collect and process information, particularly personal data that we receive from you. Please read the following carefully to understand our approach and practices regarding your personal data and how we treat it. 2. What information do we collect about you?
THE BUHSY PARK TENNIS & PADEL CLUB will gather and process personal data in order to carry out its function and to fulfil its legal basis as an organisation bringing the padel game to the country and regulating all aspects of the sport. In cases where personal data is not submitted we may not carry out our functions.

Depending on the particular circumstances, we may collect and hold a range of different information about you. This can include your name, date of birth (minors), address, email address, phone number, nationality (where relevant), PPS number, medical data (where relevant) and financial information (where relevant e.g. staff or subcontractors). This list is not exhaustive and we may sometimes need to collect additional information for relevant purposes, for example references, garda vetting etc. All personal data is relevant to the purpose for which it is collected and no excessive personal data will be collected.

The Padel Federation of Ireland ran their first two coaches course for TCI members last year The courses were a great success – here are some words from a TCI member who attended: “I really enjoyed the Padel course. It was definitely a worthwhile way of advancing my skill set and adapting my tennis coaching skills to the world of Padel”.

Given the success of the first couple of courses, The Padel Federation in cooperation with TCI has now scheduled a third course to allow coaches who missed out the first time to get involved. The syllabus for this course has been specially developed to take into account the skills tennis coaches already possess, thus saving time and money for those coaches who are contemplating getting involved in Padel.

COURSE DATES: Sun 10th and Sun 17th June 2018.

COURSE TIMES: 1st Sunday 10 am to 4 pm, 2nd Sunday 10 am to 4 pm.

COURSE VENUE: Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club, Terenure.

COURSE TUTOR: Colin O’Brien. A former Irish Davis Cup player, Colin is currently teaching tennis and Padel. He is certified by the Spanish and European Padel Federations.

COURSE FEES: The full cost of the course and assessment process is €250. The course normally runs for 15 hours, and costs €500, so this specific tennis coaches course represents significant savings.

In 2016 Tennis Coach Ireland carried out a survey of our member’s attitude to the game of Padel Tennis. At our last National Conference, Colin O’Brien and Joe Cabello of the Padel Federation of Ireland gave a presentation on Padel. We had very positive responses to both the survey and the presentation – many members were keen to get involved in Padel. TCI’s main priority as regards Padel is that our members are in a position of strength should the game come to your club or area.

The 1st Clinic Spanish Tennis Way is taking place in our Club on Sunday 13th May.

The Clinic will be delivered by top class coaches, including Oscar Borras, creator of the Top Ten System and adviser to Rafa Nadal. He will be assisted by Leonardo Parra, our Head Coach in the Bushy Park Tennis Academy.

The Clinics consists of 3 modules:

1. Conference for parents - how to help your children after the game

2. Technical correction - forehand and backhand (top spin)

3. Tactical Top Ten System Method - learn to win

The Clinic fee for the day is 100 euro.

The Clinic runs from 9:30 am to 2:00 pm. 

The 3rd Madison International Padel Tournament took place in Bushy Park from the 4th to the 6th May. The competition was a resounding success. Congratulations to all players for taking part in the tournament and especially to the winners from all categories.

The atmosphere throughout the tournament was great. The standard of padel is ever increasing in Ireland. The padel being played was spectacular!

The prestigious Madison International Padel Tournament comes back to Dublin for the third time from Friday 4th to Sunday 6th May.

The Padel Federation of Ireland are hosting the tournament in Bushy Park Padel & Tennis Club in Terenure and in Rockbrook Padel Club in Rathfarnham.

There are 4 categories: Men (A, B and C), Ladies (A and B), Mixed and Juniors (u14s and u17s).

Great prizes and official polo shirt and Bullpadel gymsack for all participants (please see poster for further details).

Entry Fee is €45 per team for adults and €15 per player for kids.

Next Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th April we will be holding a short tournament for all the participants in the Bushy Park Premier League. Due to adverse weather conditions several weeks back this will be a great opportunity to catch up with matches and prepare for the upcoming Madison international, which will take place once again in our Club both for adults and kids.

The short tournament has no registration fee. The only fee that applies will be the usual court rates.

Term and Conditions Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club Multiactivity Camps

1. No Provisional bookings will be taken. Places can only be secured on receipt of completed form and payment.

2. Places will be filled on a first come first served basis.

3. A Parent/guardian must sign application form.

 4. All medical conditions must be clearly stated on the application form.

5. Children must bring a packed lunch, rain gear and sun cream each day.

6. The hours of the camp are 9.30 am-2.30pm each day.

7. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club are not responsible for children outside of the above hours.

8. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club does not accept responsibility for the loss or damage to any property belonging to the participants.

9. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club reserves the right to cancel part of/or the entire programme with all payments refunded.

10. All valuables must be left at home.

11. Information of activities is given in good faith. All arrangements and activities are subject to change depending on weather condition, programme schedule and other arrangements. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club has the right to cancel amend or alter activities accordingly.

12. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club will keep a current insurance policy for the duration of the Camp.

13. If a child is unable to attend a full refund will be given if 7 days’ notice or a doctor’s note is given.

14. Lost property will be kept until May 31st 2018.

15. Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club reserves the right to suspend any child that is disruptive to the camp due to misbehaviour or whose behaviour puts them or others at risk.

16. Mobile phones are not permitted at camp.

17. I/We consent to the use of any photographs that may be taken of our child during the camp to be used, distributed or shown as Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club sees appropriate. Book at Bushy Park Club reception or send application form with cheque payable to Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club, Rathdown Road, Terenure, Dublin 6W. (Credit/laser card accepted at reception).
