All Ireland CUPRA Championship 2023

Dear Players and Padel lovers,
The All-Ireland Padel Open Championship will take place in Bushy Park on Friday 8th from 6:00pm to Sunday 10th September 2023 and it is open to everyone in all categories.
All affiliated Clubs may organise preliminary rounds of the tournament prior to the All-Ireland if they have a big amount of players but this is not a requirement to register and play for your club.
The categories for the tournament are:
-Women Open
-Men Open
-Women Social (Beginners-low intermediate)
-Men Social (Beginners-low intermediate)
-Mixed
The format of the tournament is as follows:
-Matches to be played to the best of 2 sets (with tiebreak) Golden point system in all games
-Super tie-break as 3rd set
-A player or team can be substituted before the tournament if this doesn’t affect the seeds draw. If this situation affects the draw the player or team substituted cannot have more ranking points than the actual team.
-Warm-up of 2 minutes maximum before the match. Failure to comply with this rule may result in sanctions for both teams. (We recommend to warm up outside the court)
-The team that arrives 10 minutes late on the timetable will be given the match for lost 6/0 6/0. Failure to show up will result in a forfeit. Unless it’s agreed with IPT team.
-International disciplinary conduct rules will be applied in every match. Any kind of unjustified protests, insults or threats may result in tournament and permanent sanction.
-Results must be communicated and scored once the match is over. Players must apply for the Plate after their matches if needed.
-The courts may not be used unless it is an official match or the organization allows the use of these.
-Players with debts will not be able to take part of the Championship, being the inscription null and void.
-Trophies and prizes will be handed out directly at the photo-call after each final.
-The cash prizes will be paid the same day of the tournament in cash or by bank transfer within a week.
-The open draws will be made with 2-8 seeds based on the 2023 ranking
-Players can only represent one club and not be playing on other
preliminary rounds in other clubs.
-Prizes for the finalist teams in each category: trophies and padel gear
vouchers or equipment.
-Prize for the open as IPT rules
-CUPRA is sponsoring the tournament with € 1000 in prize money for the 3 first positions in the open categories
-At the event CUPRA will provide:
-Chill zone for players
-CUPRA CHALLENGE during all tournament (Players and spectators can participate and win some prizes.)
-Plate tournament its optional and it will be played to 1 set with advantage system.

Registration fee for a single category: € 25
Registration fee for two categories: € 50
Players must register with Bushy Park Tennis & Padel Club or via mail to info@irishpadeltour.ie and provide the following information:

Player Licence Number
Affiliated Club
To reserve your place the full fee must be paid beforehand. Payment link will be provide once the application is accepted

RULES OF PLAY
All the rules of padel and disciplinary code apply for this tournament
under the International Padel Federation regulations and as stated by
the Padel Federation of Ireland. Please look up the following link for

If one player can't attend on the day of the tournament, pairs can
swap a player until 1 hour before the start of the tournament. (This
does not apply in the open category!)
The tournament is organised by the Padel Federation of Ireland for all
affiliated clubs in Ireland and Northern Ireland and it is part of the Irish Padel
Tour.
Registration for the All-Ireland Padel Open Championship must be made
before Tuesday 5th September at 20:00pm
